Analysis: RBA Lowe’s Forward Guidance Viewed Through CB-Intel Stories

I have looked back at all my stories to evaluate my own reporting on the RBA’s three-year yield target and forward guidance. While my articles were never perfect, I repeatedly made the point in several stories that the RBA’s forward guidance was event-based (or outcome-based) and hence conditional on events.
My stories also show that as events, or economic outlook, changed, so did the RBA’s view on when conditions for a rate hike would be met.
