AOFM sells April 2029 at 0.8450%

Published On 24 Jun 2020 , 11:08 AMThe AOFM has sold A$2.0 billion of 3.25% April 2029 government bond at a weighted average yield of 0.8450%. The coverage ratio was 3.3325 versus record high of 6.5 times at a tender in October 2017. The lowest yield today was 0.8450% and the highest was also 0.8450%.
There were 35 bids in total, and only 3 were successful, with none getting 100% allotment.
With this issue, this bond line has now increased A$32.0 billion. The last time this bond was issued was in December 2019 for A$800 million when the weighted average issue yield was 1.0867%.
The bond was first issued in October 2012 via syndication for A$3.26 billion at a weighted average yield of 3.5950%.
