AOFM sells May 2028 govt bond at 0.7711%

The AOFM has sold A$1.0 billion of 2.25% May 2028 government bond at a weighted average yield of 0.7711%. The coverage ratio was 3.96, well short of the record for this bond in November 2017 when it was 5.3 times. The lowest yield today was 0.7700% and the highest 0.7725%. 5.2966 november 2017

There were 42 bids in total, and only 14 were successful, and among them 8 got 100% allotment.

With this issue, this bond line has now increased A$29.7 billion. The last time this bond was issued was in November 2019 for A$500 million when the weighted average issue yield was 1.1098%.

The bond was first issued in May 2016 via Syndication where A$7.0 billion was issued at a weighted average yield of 2.5250%.
