Concerts in Australia and Demand in 2027

Published On 23 Sep 2026 , 06:54 PMThere will no doubt be stories about this in the months to come, but based on my understanding, 2027 is turning out to be a big year for international performance in Australia.
That means spending (think demand and RBA monetary policy).
We can't have a series of cash rate hikes if demand doesn't slow, so we can only hope there's a slowdown somewhere else to offset demand growth due to such spending.
Some context: Calvin Harris has announced two new dates for Sydney, making it a total of three, even before the official pre-sales began this morning. (And before you ask, I only know this artist because of my daughters and niece)
Perhaps I am overanalysing. But RBA might still want to note.
