The RBA meets market expectation by announcing purchase of bonds under the three-year yield target policy, apart from the regular QE purchases. The RBA said it will buy A$1.0 billion of the April 2024 bond.

The bond-buying is, however, not as aggressive as December 10 when the RBA bought A$1.5 billion total of April 2023 and April 2024.

The RBA's single largest purchase of the April 2024 bond was on November 12 when it bought A$2.0 billion at weighted average yield of 0.1142%.
