RBA Leaves Cash Rate Unchanged at 3.60%

The Reserve Bank of Australia left the cash rate unchanged at 3.60%, in line with expectations.

The tone of the statement shifted, with the RBA acknowledging inflation in the September quarter may be higher than its forecast in August, based on recent partial data.

The RBA also statet private demand is recovering more rapidly than expected but uncertainties about the outlook for growth and inflation remain, both from domestic front and from international developments.
