For the first time since it began bond-buying via auctions, the RBA is not conducting any purchases today. Last week, Governor Philip Lowe said the RBA will  schedule bond auctions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but not necessarily on each of these days. He, however, added the RBA will continue to do auctions for semis for the foreseeable future. Given semis auctions usually happen on Wednesdays, Lowe's comments suggest the RBA may or may not auction on Mondays and Thursdays.

Today is the first such occasion the RBA has decided not to do any purchases via auction.
