Australia And $1T Issuance

Australian Commonwealth securities on issue have crossed A$1 trillion. It is not the same as debt crossing A$1 trillion.

But here's the bit where I want to be factual. That number will likely dip below A$1 trillion in the last week of September, then rise above that mark again in late October, perhaps November, or maybe a bit earlier. From then on, unless our fiscal position improves significantly, it will stay above $1 trillion.

I acknowledge A$1 trillion is a milestone we never wanted to see, but that's not what this post is about.
