RBA buying A$500M of May 2028-Nov 2029 bonds

Published On 23 Apr 2020 , 02:50 PMThere's no pause in RBA's bond-buying yet with the announcement today to buy A$500 million of May 2028 to November 2029 government bonds.
There are four bonds within this maturity range, and the RBA has so far bought around A$9 billion in that bracket.
There will be no bond-buying on Friday, after the RBA announced it will conduct auctions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday but not necessarily each of these days.
