RBA leaves cash rate unchanged at 4.35%

Published On 06 Aug 2024 , 02:41 PMThe Reserve Bank of Australia left the cash rate unchanged at 4.35% at the August board meeting and reiterated the message that it is "not ruling anything in or out."
The tone was hawkish, with the RBA reiterating that it remains vigilant to upside risks to inflation.
The RBA also said that policy needs to be sufficiently restrictive until the Board is confident that inflation is moving sustainably towards the target range.
