RBA Raises Cash Rate to 4.10%

Published On 17 Mar 2026 , 02:41 PMThe Reserve Bank of Australia lifted the cash rate by 25bps to 4.10%, making it back-to-back rate hikes after three cuts in 2025.
The decision was a close call, with the hike camp exceeding the hold voters by 5 to 4.
The Monetary Policy Board judged inflation is likely to remain above target for some time, and the risks have tilted further to the upside, including to inflation expectations.
