The Reserve Bank of New Zealand will have eight monetary policy meetings a year from 2027, up from seven.

As a result, the February 2027 meeting has been moved a week earlier to February 10, narrowing the gap with the December 9, 2026 meeting to two months.

The Monetary Policy Statement months have been revised to March, June, September and December. This means the first MPS of the year will be in March, instead of February.
